HOW TO START YOUR PLANT WINDOW

FAQs

Where should I place my plant window once PLANTED?

Leave your planted window near a stable source of bright, indirect light. Planted windows grow best in indoor spaces where the temperature is stable and accompanied by a grow light that provides consistent light.

How often should I water my planted window?

It all depends on the conditions inside the plant window. You will be able to see how much water is inside from the amount of condensation on the glass. If the soil is dark brown/black and the glass is constantly covered in water droplets you should remove the lid to release excess water. If there is rarely water on the glass and the soil is light brown or starting to pull away from the glass you should add water from a spray bottle.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I OVERWATER MY PLANT WINDOW?

Not to worry, you can simply leave the lid off until you’re happy that the soil has gone from wet to damp.

What kind of plants can I put in a plant window?

The best plants for a planted window are those that grow in the tropics and that do not grow too large. Some of the best species to use are fittonia, hypoestes, ferns, pilea, peperomia, ficus and moss.

Can I leave the lid off?

You can leave the lid off but it will then need to be watered more regularly.
